Cosy Together

Good afternoon, my crafty friends, followers and visitors

Well its nearly the end of September and the weather here today is lovely.  We have
blue sky's sunshine and no breeze, in fact you could be forgiven in thinking we were
still in summer.

Today's make is another Christmas card, just to remind ourselves that the HO! HO!
Season is on its way.

DETAILS

1. Card is 6 x8 scalloped edge cream coloured, the front of the
card has been embossed.

2. Using a piece  of bark brown shiny card I embossed it with
a snowflake design before cutting it to create a band across
the card.  Before adhering to the card I covered the edges
with tartan ribbon.

3. The images are from the Pollyanna Pickering Collection
and I used the same image in different heights.

4. To complete I added a sentiment and made a bow using the
same tartan ribbon.

That's it my friends, hope you have enjoyed your visit
and will pop back over tomorrow.

Until Next Time

Welcome Home

Good afternoon my crafty friends, followers and visitors

A big hello and welcome to my new followers, I feel like a kid in a sweet shop when I see
I have more  followers, I really get excited and am very pleased that you take the time
to visit my blog and support me.  It really means a lot and I always read all you lovely
comments.

So what have you all been up to? me I have done the usual today food shopping
for mum and ourselves and now in my craft room having me time while hubby
is watching TV and keeping an eye on Oscar (our Pekingese) as he had an op
yesterday to remove 4 cysts from his back.  Luckily they are not serious
but the poor little thing is looking so sorry for himself and now has 4 bald
patches on his lovely fur.

I will attached a photo of him to the bottom of this post and if you see
the light patch near his back end that is one of the cuts.

Today's card is using one of  the new Tattered lace dies

DETAILS

1. Stared with a white DL card and added a piece of plain
black card.

2. I die cut the bird houses using the new Tattered Lace die
(Birdhouse Heights) out of white card and adhered it to the
black background. To add a little more interest to the  back
ground I used a glitter pen around the edges to simulate stitches

3. Using a word die (sorry cannot remember which one it is )
I cut the words NEW HOME  and adhered then and that is it!

Well this is a nice simple card and I hope you like
So until next time my friends

Lacy Way

Good Evening, my crafty friend, followers and visitors

Hope you have all had a good day and have managed to get everything done that you wanted to do.
Been to the dentist today for a check up, everything is OK then I decided to nip over the
Tesco for a few bits - boy was that an experience - I will explain -

Walked in the store to be greeted by a nice young lady, who asked me if I had a club card,
I replied yes, she then asked would I like to have a go at using their new system -
Scan yourself ( not sure if this is what they are calling it - but I am ).  Well I thought
why not, should be easy - so off we trundled to get my scanner - to start with the machine
that allows you to access a scanner, did not seem to like my postcode, OK got over that  one.

Scanner in hand off I go, picked up shopping scanned and quite good, scanner giving me
a running total of what I am spending, great until you pick something the scanner does
not like, so fumbled round the shelf until I found a bar code it did like.
Back to checkout, and guess what - random check YES ME. got over that hurdle
with a little help from the assistant. Put in my card to pay - I was quicker than the machine
and I stood  there like a lemon waiting to pay until I spotted I had not pressed the button to pay.
( Its an age thing), I just thought this little tale would bring a smile or too.

Now chapter and verse over today's make I have done for the One Word Wonder
over on the Mad Gigglers Face book -the word was Lace.

DETAILS

1.Card is 8 x8 and was matted with green card.  The design  is
Hunkydory and to this I added a lace border before  adhering
to the base card.
2. The butterflies were from my stash and I use Cosmic Shimmer
Vintage Golden Green PVA to make the butterfly trails.

Well thanks it for today folks

Until Next Time

How was your weekend, relaxing I hope.

Well it's Monday and you all know what that means - Yes the new
challenge from Whoopsi Daisy starts today and this week the challenge is
Bling/Pearls, so come on lets see your creations, here is my DT card
to inspire you ( I hope).  For more inspiration pop over to the  Whoopsi
Daisy Challenge here and see more from our lovely design team

DETAILS

1. card size is 8x51/2 fancy edge from my stash.

                 2. I took the image from the Whoopsi Daisy Digi Designs cd
and coloured her with pro markers.

            3. I then used one of the Tattered lace dies (sorry I cannot
remember the name) and using the outer frame only
I mounted it onto my image.  To make the frame
more ornate I took a corner die, cut four and them
trimmed them down and added to the frame.

         4. From my stash I them used gold roses (sorry they look
orange in the photo) and placed them at each corner.

5. Finally in keeping with the challenge, I placed clear
gems on her dress, in her hair and larger clear
gems at each corner to frame the roses.

So come on - join in the fun, the rules and details
are listed below.  See you over there!!!

Shoe Glam

Good Afternoon,
My crafty friends, followers and visitors

Well the week has flown again, cannot believe how fast the days are going these
days. How are we all today, well I hope and looking forward to the weekend.
My day has been eventful, as what should have been nice relaxing time
at the beauticians, turned out quite the opposite.
As usual every fortnight I have my nails done and today was my day, off I
trundled and arrived early as usual.  I had to wait and was then taken in
5 mins late (not a problem), I decided to have a new set of acrylic  nails
on and said this time could I have gel on them.  AND the Problem I
hear you ask! well the gel would not set - 5 attempts  to get it to set
and after over an hour, finally it set.  this process from start to finish
should only be 30 mins.  The poor beautician, she was not a happy bunny.

I knew that mum would be getting worried and yes when I finally got back
to her, "Where have you been, I thought you had an accident".  This has
put my afternoon behind schedule but quick of tea with mum, do her ironing
and finally I am home.

So after this chapter (sorry I can go on a bit) here is a little card I made
the other day - nothing to do with Christmas.

DETAILS

1. Card is 6x6 scalloped edge and to this I have added a piece of
pink (looks red on picture) satin card that I have embossed
with a Crafts-Too embossing folder, sorry but no name on
the packet.

2. A piece of cream satin ribbon was attached to the side and
I made the bow to enhance it.

3. Using clear gems from my stash, I placed at strategic
points of the design, down the card and on the ribbon
to give that extra big of sparkle.

4. The cream flowers and sentiment are also from my stash.

Hope you have enjoyed your visit and I apologise if I
have bored you with my little story.

Until Next Time

Christmas Dreams

 Good Evening,
My crafty friends,followers and visitors

Hope you are all well and making the most of this lovely weather  we are having
lately.  Sorry not been around much this week but I have, as they say
"been meeting myself coming backward."  Anyway basically every time I
set my mind to doing something, then something else crops up and the
thing I was going to do gets put backward - and that's how my week has been.
But saying that the week has been enjoyable and has ran away with me,
 to think it's Thursday already.

Anyhow lets get on - I have today made? YES another Christmas Card
(as if you need to see them but afraid that is what most of us will getting
to grips with), this one is stamping using  House-Mouse which I have
coloured.

DETAILS

1. Card base is 5x7 white card which has been covered with
red glitter card.

2. The frame was done by using the Tonic Decorative Holly Rings
and I adhered it to the card using double sided tape.

3. The image is from the Christmas collection rubber stamps by
House-Mouse and I have coloured using pro-markers. I
then used one of the Holly Rings to cut out the image and
it was then placed in the centre of the holly ring.

4. The bow was done by using silver card and  the Tattered Lace
embossing folder Lattice Bow. I only used the corner  and the
one of the borders.  They were then cut out and glittered  green
to match the Holly Ring, mounted the smaller bow on top of
the larger one and mounted onto the ring with foam pad.

To complete I die cut the NOEL using silver card and the Tonic
word die.

Well  my friends, I am afraid that's all I have time for today,
off the cook tea ( another one of those boring jobs).
Hope to be back tomorrow (promise no Christmas card)

Before I sign off, I see I have more followers, its
wonderful to know that you think  my work is
worth following and I very much appreciate you all.

Until tomorrow

Owl Eyed

Good afternoon
Mt Crafty Friends, Follower and Visitors

Another gorgeous day here in Warrington, although not been out much
to enjoy it.  I did make the most of the sunshine yesterday as I
decided to take my crafting into the garden, so armed with my
Grand Calibur, card stock, Easel die, Poinsettia die and Sentiment die
off I went.  I must say it was a little hard going on the old arm using
the Grand Calibur as I have not used it for months since I have been
using my E-Bosser but still old faithful did it's job and I managed
to die cut all the components for 12 Christmas Cards and got some
rays as well- Not a bad afternoons work, if I say so.

Anyway down to business, today I have made a card using
my prize from Lelli-Bots - the challenge was Use your left
overs- and hey ho I won it!.  Hope you like.

DETAILS

1. I made the card shape by using A4 Cream Card and die cutting
two pieces using the X-cut Extra Large Dies and then joining
together at the top.

2. Then still using the X-Cut dies I chose a smaller die and
using the card stock which came in the kit (Animal Magic
Twit Twoo) from Lelli-Bot, cut the blue card.  The paper
also in the kit was again cut using the next size down die.
Both were then adhered to my card.

3. The ribbon again was part of the kit (as you get everything
in these kits that you require to make a card) and I  placed
it around the top of the card and made a chocolate box
bow to finish. The little owl charm was added to to the
ribbon, just to add a little more interest.

4. The topper again is from the kit as is the little flower
that is under the sentiment and hearts on either side.

And there you have it, a quick and easy card with no
worries about getting all the right elements, as with
these kits everything is done for you.

Well my Friends, that your lot for today
and as always, Until next time,

Christmas Stepper

Good Morning,
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

I hope everyone is fit and well on this lovely sunny September Morning.
No you are not dreaming, yes it's morning and I am doing my post, I am
trying to get myself into a routine and trying to do my blog early (don't
know how long it will last before I end up back doing it late afternoon/
early evening).
Anyway I have pretty much the day, well late morning and all afternoon
to myself once I go and sort out mum the rest of day is Mine!!

So down to business, today my card is Can you Guess, maybe the
title will give a clue! No - well it's Christmas, oh I hear you say
but come on not a lot of time left, so if you have not started,
then oh boy!.  Anyway here it is hope you like?

DETAILS

1. The stepper card was made using the fabulous stepper die
from Ruby Red Crafts, if you have not got it, then please
take a look and if you can buy, its so simple to use and
will give a perfect card every time and NO Measuring.
The card base is cream.
2. Using the die panels ( yes that's also included) I cut then
out using green mirri board and then adhered then to to
the base card.
3. The poinsettia was cut with a Spellbinder die out of cream
glitter card (sorry but looks pink on picture). The pine
was done with the Tattered Lace Christmas Pine die and
I again used  cream card.
4. The sentiment again was die cut with  Tattered Lace die.

And there you have have it, quick, easy but I think very
effective Christmas Card. ( I will be  making more
like this to sent out to family and friend)

Well my friends, that's me done for today, Well
blogging at least.  Hope to see you all again
very soon.

Good afternoon

My Crafty Friends,Followers and Visitors

Well another nice day we are doing very well with the weather for this time of year
long may it continue, as I hate the cold weather.  For me  it's wall to wall sunshine.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my new followers and hope
I will keep you entertained and maybe inspire you in some small way with
my little creations.

Today my little card has been made using a new cd that I purchased
the other week when I went to  the Papercraft  show at Leigh, hope you like.

 DETAILS

1. Card base is an A4 white card folded in half and then the top
section folded again to create an easel card.

2. The image and backing paper are from the Cd Regency
Elegance by The Clip Art Fairy . Once I printed the
image I mounted it onto white card and cut round the image
so that it would retain  its shape.

3. I highlighted the edge and across the front  Using a peel
off border in  gold. Using flowers from my stash I used
them to enhance the image.  To complete I added an
organza ribbon tied into a bow. (although the ribbon
looks brown on the photo, it is in fact a pale green) and
the sentiment With Love.

Well my friends, thats all for today, I am off to have a culpa in the garden.

Ringing In Christmas

Good Morning, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Looks like it is going to be a nice day, sun is shining and a day of
crafting planned, what more could we ask for?.

Today I want to share another Christmas card with you all, hope you like

DETAILS

1. Card size is 8 x 8 with scalloped edges.  I embossed
down the side with one of the Tattered Lace embossing
folder ( sorry cannot remember the name, as it belongs to
Mary and I only borrowed it)

2. The wreath is a stamp by Chloe and I have coloured
it using Tim Holt distress inks.  I then added a little
glitter and tiny red gems to represent the berries.
Sorry it's not very clear.

3. I then used the bell die from Tattered Lace and
cut into it so that just the bells were left.  They
were cut out of silver mirri card and I mounted
them with foam pads to give extra height.

4. To finish off, using the Tonic Jingle Bells die
I cut it using pearl card and glittered it for that
little extra sparkle.

Before I go I would like to welcome my new followers
and hope you like what you see and will continue to
support me.

Early Dawn

Good Evening, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well managed to get sorted yesterday after the plasterer had gone and
the new  ceiling looks good.  Now all that is left to do is to emulsion
the ceilings and walls in three rooms, not looking forward to that.

Anyway today I am showing a card using the  stamp I bought on
Saturday at Leigh and I am very pleased with it as its the first
time I have used inks for backgrounds.

DETAILS

1. Card size is 6 x 6  scalloped edge and I have matted
and layered a piece of black card to it.

2. Using distress inks I created the background and
I used the Inkylicious stamp ( Old Beech Tree) in
the centre of the card.

3. In the same stamp pack there were the birds and
I have stamped one either side.

4. The sentiment Follow Your Dreams was also included
and I have used it in the top right hand corner.

Smell The Flowers

Good Morning, My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

No you are not dreaming, yes its still morning and I am doing my blog.
Reason being I have the plasterer in today doing my kitchen ceiling and until
he has finished I cannot do anything, so  I thought do your blog first because
once he has gone I will have all the cleaning up of plaster dust to get rid of
and cleaning my cupboards down (even though everything is covered in plastic
sheets the dust will still get through)

Anyway enough of the boring stuff, what about this weather, I am looking
through my window and the sky is blue and the sun is beaming down
Oh how lovely to see, hope its the same for you all.

Today I have done another Whoopsi Daisy image and will entering it
into the new Challenge LEAVES.

DETAILS

           1.     Started with a 5 x 7 cream card and using a Tonic
edge die I cut the top front of the card.

    2.     I coloured the image using Pro-markers and put
Glossy Accent onto her hair ( it does not show up
in the picture) but it does make her hair shine Honest.
She was then mounted onto gold mirri board before
adhering to the card.

      3.    The leaves were done using Tattered Lace dies in
green and white card stock.

                   4.   The flowers were from Sweet Lilac and I have enhanced
them with pale gold pearl gems.  I have also used
the same gems to enhance the flowers in the top
of my card.

Well that's all for today my friends and tomorrow
I will showing you my attempt at another stamping
technique.

Walkies

Good Afternoon,
My crafty friends, followers and visitors

How are we all today? well I hope and those of you who under the
weather I send you big hugs and wish you a speedy recovery.
Not been up to much today, been over to see mum, took Oscar
for his walk and back home doing housework.

After lunch I though I can hear something and yes IT WAS CRAFT
ROOM CALLING so here I  am doing my blog and then having
a play.
You know how I much I am enjoying using Whoopsi Daisy
images, well guess what I have made top three AGAIN!!
I am amazed and  feel so proud and I cannot tell you the boost
it is giving my confidence.

Today I am giving you a make using the Sassy & Classy Cd

DETAILS

1. Card blank is a fancy edge from my stash.

                 2.   Ran off the image from the Sassy & Classy Cd from
Ruby Red Crafts and then coloured her using Spectrum
Noir Pens.  I then cut out the image using  the
Grand Labels Four by Spellbinder and also using the
same die I cut another piece of patterned card.

                     3.   The two were then laid at different angles onto the card

   4.  To complete I added Crystal Blossoms from
